The Ficus Lyrata is Potplant Studio's favourite plant, it's easy to care for when you get it's environment right.

Habitat: Prefers a warm spot in the house away from draughts.

Light: Needs bright but indirect sunlight to prevent the leaves from burning.

Water: For success, leave tap water to sit for at least an hour before watering for the chlorine to evaporate or use filtered room temperature water. Only water when the top 5cm of soil is dry and let the water run to the bottom. Don't allow the pot to sit in water as this will cause root rot.

Dust when needed to make the leaves shiny, more light that can get through the leaf will allow faster growth. We recommend using with a soft cloth with water.

Soil: Repot once a year in spring-summer with indoor potting mix.

Only fertilise in the warmer months when growth is active.

Current height is 80cm-90cm from the base of the 20cm nursery pot.
